2nd Easter Party

MOMS Club had their party Wed. morning. There was a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! Oh course Ashley cried and neither of my girls wanted to go near him. But we were able to get a picture, it just included mom.

1st Egg Hunt of the Season

Our ward had an Easter Breakfast this past Saturday. The kids played games and then got to do an egg hunt. This was Ashley's first one. She caught on real quick. They've been enjoying the spoils of their hunt and so have Mom and Dad. I look forward to tomorrow's.

Flamingo Wildlife Habitat

We went for the first time to the Flamingo Casino that has an outdoor wildlife center. It was a very warm morning, but the kids didn't care. We went with another Mom from my MOMS Club and her two boys. They had a great time, looking at all the fish, finding waterfalls, ducks, swans and yes flamingos!

Spray Paint Art

One morning I was looking for something fun for the girls to do. So we filled up some spray bottles with paint, water and soap (just enough to not clog). Hung up larger pieces of paper on the side wall of our yard and let them spray away.

This is what the finished product looks like.
Below is what you would expect to happen when you give a one year old a spray bottle with paint in it. She sprayed Rachel and Rachel was not happy. Thankfully, it washed right out.

1st Family Hike

March 26th we went to Red Rock for a hike and took the girls with us. They did great! We did the Children's Discovery Trail that ends at a seasonal waterfall. Lucky for us it had just rained and the mountains still had snow, thus we had a small waterfall. The girls climbed behind it and Rachel even touched the falling water. Another family from my MOMS Club joined us and that made it more fun for Rachel to have a friend to hike with. At some points during the hike you have to climb up rocks and down them and we had to tell the girls to stop holding hands or we were going to see a domino effect as they pushed each other off the rocks. This is certainly something we need to do more of. One of these days we'll have another free Saturday.

Who needs a growth chart?

I do actually have a growth chart. It's sitting under the bathroom counter in the girls bathroom waiting to be put up. We've had it for at least 2 years now. But who needs it when you have stairs?

This time Rachel actually noticed that my knees were bent and tried to push them down.
All I have to say is ouch!
