Classic Car Show Trunk or Treat

I think I can call this a new tradition, it's the 2nd year in a row that we've gone to the Classic Car Show and Trunk or Treat in Summerlin. It was a warm day, so instead of the cow we needed a new costume for Rachel. She was an artist, paint smeared on her check and arm that she did all by herself and her art apron with a few paintbrushes and whala, a homemade costume.

Ashley figured out the whole get candy and put it in your bucket really fast. It helps that she's in that stage of stuffing. She'd keep going back to the same candy bowl and didn't want to move on to the next.

New to us this year, is Rachel being able to actually play some games. She ghost bowled, ring tossed, and tried to blindly find a prize in a big cauldron of packing peanuts that had the fake bloody hands and fee and didn't freak out.

Ashley participated in the costume parade and by participated I mean Mom carried her around in a big circle and helped her wave while vendors admired her cuteness.

They had a fire truck that the kids go climb on and see what it was like, so we had to do that and Rachel chatted it up with the firefighter.

Mike enjoyed looking at all the gorgeous cars, and I enjoyed having a fun free family morning out. That's what I love best about the end of the year holidays. Our days become crazy busy but we spend a lot of time doing things together. This is just the beginning!

  1. We have the same ladybug costume, two in fact. The girls wore them 2 years ago and now Tabitha is a ladybug again. So cute those girls of yours are!
