Christmas Eve at Keith and Wendy's

And what a Merry Christmas Eve it was. We gathered at the Anderson home base with parents, siblings, and kin to celebrate Christmas Eve! The night that Santa Claws visits out homes to remind us that nothing says "Let's celebrate the birth of our Lord" like a giant pink bunny rabbit costume or a nice pair of warm socks. We had a very pleasant evening with the whole family together for the winter holiday for the first time since I can't remember when (2006? I dunno). We listened to the musical proficiencies of Wendy and Jacob, sang carols, read the nativity story and blissfully mixed the feel-good holiday classics with lovely songs of Christ.

We got the girls all dolled up for the occasion

Earlier in the day, we went up to Mount Charleston with our friends, Jesse and Sarah Owen, to do some sledding. We found a great hill with some fun bumps.
Shelly had Ashley all bundled up, and except for a minor crash on the big hill, the little one had a great time!I performed my fatherly duty and taught Rachel the proper method of making and throwing a snowball which, as you can see below, she quickly mastered. She also took right to the concept of "Throw snow at Mommy" and embraced it fully.
Later we taught her to make snow angels
